02 — Craftsmanship

The Art of
Precision

Every Noir timepiece is assembled by a single master watchmaker who signs the movement. From the raw alloy to the finished calibre, no machine replaces the human hand for the final 240 operations.

Our atelier in Le Sentier, Switzerland operates on a principle unchanged since 1887: perfection is not a standard. It is a minimum.

Lever Escapement

The lever escapement in the Obsidian calibre beats at 28,800 vph, with each component hand-polished to a mirror finish using only boxwood sticks.

Guilloché Dial

Our guilloché dials are engraved on a 19th-century rose engine, requiring 4 hours per dial. No two patterns are mathematically identical.

Case Finishing

Cases undergo 47 distinct finishing operations: alternating between mirror polish and satin brushing, each surface transition hand-cut to a razor edge.
